Find information about the UC Clermont College womens basketball schedule, NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA rankings and scores. Most college and university game results can be found in the table below. If you like to play sports, rather than just watch the game, you may be able to compete either at intercollegiate levels for competitive sports, or simply play intramural sports to have fun, and make new friends. For college-bound students, applying to college has many steps, and for student-athletes there are additional factors to take into consideration, such as time-management and strength building. Not all recruiting is done like NCAA football and basketball. NAIA college coaches have less restrictions concerning when they are allowed to talk with recruits, and NJCAA scouts may show up at your high school games without any prior notice. Students must meet eligibility requirements each year to participate in sports, and to continue to receive financial aid at college.

Athletic Scholarship Information

UC Clermont College womens basketball scheduleYou don't have to quarterback the university football team to a state championship to earn an athletic scholarship. Most major sports that are able to field a team in intercollegiate competition have sports scholarships available. Ranging from women's gymnastics to men's track and field, coaches are seeking players to build a team around. That leadership role often is accompanied by a full-scholarship. The best time to begin searching for scholarships is before your senior year, in order to meet application deadlines. Schools also confirm that it is important to file financial aid forms such as the CSS Profile early in the school year.

There are several major scholarship databases available online. With an aggregate of well over a million scholarships, worth more than $3.4 billion, the FastWeb.com scholarship search is the largest, most accurate and most frequently updated sports scholarship database. It's never too early to start thinking about applying for a sports scholarship. Take stock of your athletic abilities as you progress through high-school.

Team Practice

So, you've been recruited, or made it past a walk-on tryout. That's when the real challenge starts. You still have to make it through daily practices, and several additional rounds of cuts. A college team practice is far more demanding than high school, because the level of play is higher. Returning players are put through their paces, run drills, lift weights, and do the grunt work that comes with being on the team. Freshman and walk-ons, on the other hand, are special targets for the coaching staff, looking to test their ability.

Orthopedics, the strength of bone:

Substance Lbs per cubic foot Tension Compression Shear
Steel 490 65,000 60,000 40,000
Granite 170 1,500 15,000 2,000
Oak Tree 46 12,500 7,000 4,000
Human Bone 119 13,200 18,000 11,800

What you're left with after the dust settles, is the real team. These are the folks you lift with, and often live with as well. To succeed in practice, and actually make the team, here are some rules to follow. Sure, you know most of these, but do you actually do them?

Keep your eyes on the ball. Sacrifice your body if you must, but don't drop the ball. Watch the ball all the way into your hands, and get a good initial grip. Your sixth sense needs to be developed to stay aware of other players at the same time. Your coach is the one who determines whether you get in the game or not, and how much playing time you get. Work hard in practice, and apply the lessons your coach is trying to share.

In order to become an RN (Registered Nurse), a bachelors degree in nursing is recommended. RN's command a greater salary, and are responsible for an enlarged scope of practice over LPNs and CNAs. Students will receive classroom instruction and clinical training in a hospital setting. A 4-year BSN program allows students to further specialize in the areas of pediatrics, geriatrics and mental health. After completing your nursing education, you must be licensed by the state in which you'll be practicing, given that state boards of nursing each have specific certification requirements.
